Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to use Ventquorix, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification or other assistive technology.

Our target

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We treat this as a working target and test against it when we build or change pages.

What we have done

  • Text and background colors chosen for strong contrast.
  • A skip link at the top of every page to jump to the main content.
  • One main heading per page and logical subheadings.
  • Menus, links, the brief builder and the contact form usable with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
  • Labels on every form field and plain language error messages.
  • Buttons and links sized for comfortable tapping, above the WCAG 2.2 minimum target size.
  • Images that carry meaning have text alternatives. Decorative illustrations are hidden from screen readers.
  • Layouts that reflow at high zoom levels and on small screens.
  • Respect for the reduced motion setting in your operating system.
  • No auto playing video or audio.

Known limitations

  • Some links to outside sources, such as government documents and PDFs, lead to pages we do not control, which may not meet the same standard.
  • The illustrative website concepts on the home and examples pages are drawn with code. They are described in text for screen reader users, but the visual detail is decorative.

How we test

We check pages with automated tools, keyboard only navigation, browser zoom and screen reader spot checks before publishing changes. Automated tools catch some problems, so we also review pages by hand.

Tell us about a problem

If something on the site is hard to use, or you need information in a different format, email hello@ventquorix.site. Tell us the page address and what happened. We will reply and work to fix the problem or provide the information another way.
