Daniel Carter is the editor of Ventquorix. He writes the site's guides for HVAC contractors on website planning, costs, booking, service area pages, state license display rules, FTC review rules, tax credit page accuracy, financing page wording and accessibility. Each guide he publishes follows the Ventquorix editorial policy and cites primary sources where possible.
What Daniel writes about
Daniel's guides sit where website planning meets the practical rules contractors work under. Topics include:
- Planning contractor websites page by page, from the header to the footer.
- Booking flows that match real dispatch rules.
- Service area pages that describe real local coverage.
- State rules on showing license numbers in advertising.
- The FTC's 2024 rule on consumer reviews and testimonials.
- What changed for federal energy credit pages after December 31, 2025.
- Regulation Z basics for financing pages.
- Accessibility basics drawn from DOJ guidance and WCAG.
How Daniel works
Daniel's approach is to start from the source. When a guide mentions a rule, he reads the rule or the regulator's own guidance and links to it. When a guide quotes a price range, it names who published the figure and when. When something cannot be verified, it is left out rather than estimated.
Guides are dated with the day they were last reviewed. When a rule changes, affected guides are updated and the review date changes. The end of the federal 25C and 25D credits after December 31, 2025 is one example of the kind of change this policy covers.
Daniel does not provide legal or tax advice. Where a decision has legal or tax consequences, his guides say so and suggest checking with a qualified professional.
